Fiber optic Cassette

Categories: ,

Description

The cassette is the location of the fiber optic cable without protection. Thermal crimping is used at the welding point due to the fragility of the optical fiber. Crimps are placed in cassette grooves after welding with a fusion machine. The capacity of thermal crimps inside the cassettes is usually 6 or 12 crimps per cassette. Cassettes are used in patch panels, optical joints, wall boxes, etc. and are also considered a type of passive network equipment
